Tsavo West National Park

... semi desert scrub, acacia woodlands, rocky ridges, more extensive ranges and Bird of pray in Tsavo West National Parkisolated hills, belts of riverine vegetation, palm thickets and, on the Chyulu hills, mountain forests.
The wide range of landscapes offers protection to many endangered African animals including black rhinoceros, Cosen's gerbils, Hunter's hartebeests, several species of shrew and rat, Grevy's zebras and wild dogs. The "Big Five" can be found in the Park along with a fine range of antelope species, while among the less common animals are the fringed-eared oryx, the gerenuk and lesser kudu.
Among the Park’s other main attractions are the Mzima Springs, replenished with two hundred and twenty million litres of crystal-clear water every day.
Not far from Mzima Springs, along a well-marked track, lies the precipitous magnificence of the Ngulia escarpment at the foot of the Ngulia Hills which rise to 1825 m.
